I am a purpose-driven STEM innovator and aspiring aerospace engineer committed to using science and technology to solve real-world problems and create meaningful social impact. My passion for engineering is rooted in both academic excellence and community-centered problem solving.
My journey began with observing challenges in my own community, where preventable methanol exposure from unsafe alcohol production has caused irreversible blindness among many individuals. Motivated to act, I worked directly with visually impaired community members, conducted field surveys, and applied my STEM training to develop Blind-Tech, a low-cost, need-based assistive technology system. Blind-Tech integrates obstacle detection, emergency services, GPS tracking, automated home control, and intelligent software into a single accessible platform designed specifically for underserved communities.
This project earned 1st Place at the STEM Science and Engineering Competition and a Gold Medal at the National Science and Engineering Fair, and received recognition and mentorship from professionals at Microsoft, Google, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
